Puregro was born out of passion, innovation, and—most of all—love.
Founded by father and son duo Paul and Kyle Snoxell in 2018, the journey began with a shared vision: to create South Africa’s first fully automated, all-in-one grow box—an intelligent deep water culture system controlled by mobile phone.
With Paul’s background in automation and Kyle’s sharp marketing mind, they developed several successful prototypes, pushing boundaries in design and local manufacturing. But just as they neared full-scale production, Paul was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and passed away before seeing the project come to life.
At the same time, Kyle immersed himself in South Africa’s emerging licensed medical cannabis industry. The grow box was paused—but the bigger vision remained.
Puregro was reignited as a mission. Today, it stands as a Section 21 medical cannabis brand committed to accessibility, affordability, and empowerment. We exist in homage to those who’ve fought illness, in honour of those we’ve lost, and in celebration of those seeking natural alternatives.
This is more than a business. It’s a legacy.
